Lanawool Product Warranty and Legal Guarantee of Conformity
Lanawool products are crafted from premium natural materials, including Merino wool and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified Ranforce cotton, carefully selected for their natural temperature-regulating properties, breathability, and exceptional comfort. Every product is made with great care to provide a healthy, comfortable, and long-lasting sleep experience.
All Lanawool products are covered by the statutory legal guarantee of conformity in accordance with Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance No. 140/2021, which implements the relevant provisions of EU Directive (EU) 2019/771 on the sale of goods.
Warranty Period
Lanawool products are covered by a 24-month legal guarantee of conformity, effective from the date the product is delivered to the consumer.
If a product is found to be non-conforming during this period, the customer is entitled to an appropriate remedy at no additional cost.
What Does Product Conformity Mean?
A product is considered compliant if it:
- matches the description and specifications published on our website;
- is suitable for the ordinary purpose of products of the same type;
- provides the quality and performance reasonably expected from similar products;
- is manufactured using the materials described in the product information;
- is free from manufacturing defects.
Remedies for Non-Conforming Products
If a product is determined to be non-conforming, Lanawool will provide one of the following remedies, as required by applicable consumer protection legislation:
- replacement of the product;
- repair of the product, where technically possible;
- an appropriate price reduction;
- a full refund if the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable period.
For textile products, the standard remedy is generally the replacement of the non-conforming product.
Lanawool will bear all costs associated with the chosen remedy, including shipping and transportation costs.
Characteristics of Natural Materials
Lanawool products are made from natural wool and Ranforce cotton, both of which possess unique natural characteristics.
The following characteristics are normal and do not constitute manufacturing defects:
- the natural scent of wool;
- slight variations in colour or texture;
- minor variations in fibre density;
- slight variations in the thickness of the filling;
- the gradual settling or compression of the wool filling over time.
Ranforce cotton features a slightly more open weave, intentionally selected to allow the wool filling to breathe and remain properly ventilated. This is a design feature and should not be considered a defect or an indication of lower-quality fabric.
Wool is a naturally elastic fibre that gradually adapts to the body and regular use. A slight compaction of the fibres over time is entirely normal.
All Lanawool products are generously cut and filled, with approximately 50 g of additional wool filling and an extra 2–3 cm in finished dimensions to compensate for the natural settling of the filling during use.
Expected Product Lifespan
Natural wool products are designed for long-term use. Like all textile products, however, they are subject to normal wear over time.
The lifespan of a product depends on several factors, including:
- frequency of use;
- proper care and maintenance;
- conditions of use;
- regular ventilation.
Gradual fibre compression or minor cosmetic changes resulting from normal use are expected characteristics of natural wool products and are not considered manufacturing defects or covered by the warranty.
Situations That Are Not Considered Product Defects
The following are considered normal characteristics of natural materials and are not regarded as defects:
- the natural smell of wool;
- natural fibre variations;
- gradual compression of the wool filling;
- minor dimensional variations typical of textile products;
- slight colour variations resulting from natural materials.
Situations Not Covered by the Warranty
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- improper, careless, or abusive use;
- washing or cleaning contrary to the care instructions;
- mechanical damage, including tearing, cutting, burning, or puncturing;
- exposure to aggressive chemicals;
- improper storage, including excessive humidity or prolonged compression;
- alterations, repairs, or modifications made by unauthorized persons;
- use of the product for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product is not in conformity, please contact the Lanawool Customer Support team and provide the following information:
- your full name;
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- clear photographs showing the problem.
Once your request has been reviewed, our team will inform you of the proposed solution and guide you through the next steps.
