The bedspread is filled with 100% Merino wool, a natural fibre valued for its ability to contribute to a comfortable microclimate during sleep. Wool is naturally breathable and helps manage moisture and changes in temperature.

With approximately 190 g/m² of pure Merino wool, certified as Woolmark Pure New Wool, the bedspread remains supple and lightweight, making it particularly well suited to the warmer season.

Cotton Cover with Enhanced Wear Resistance

The outer cover is made from a high-quality fabric of cotton reinforced with polyester in the warp, designed to provide improved resistance to wear and repeated cleaning. The cotton maintains a pleasant, natural feel, while the polyester fibres contribute to the strength and durability of the fabric, allowing the bedspread to withstand frequent use.

We chose a blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester as a compromise between the comfort of cotton and the durability required for a bedspread designed for intensive use. In our durability testing, a 100% cotton fabric, such as the one used for other LanaWool products, showed faster wear under heavy-use conditions.

This is particularly important for this bedspread because it is designed to be used directly on the bed, without another protective layer, helping protect the bed from external factors while withstanding everyday use.

We therefore opted for a composition that retains the comfort and pleasant feel of cotton while adding extra strength and durability to the fabric where it is most needed.

The quilting keeps the filling evenly distributed and gives the bedspread its characteristic neat and elegant appearance.

Depending on the size, the total weight of the bedspread is approximately 450 g/m², including both the wool filling and the outer fabric.

This figure refers to the total weight of the finished product, not the amount of wool. The bedspread is designed as a lightweight layer for use during the warmer season.
